LOST & FOUND Art Show and Reception

Join us on Tuesday, March 5th from 5pm - 7pm for Lost & Found: A Visual Art Show

Lost & Found is the first visual art exhibition by Jacob Aaron Roske and Bianca Janine Pettis, the husband/wife team known together as sound art duo Beatrix*Jar. Collaborating for over 14 years, Roske and Pettis are on a break from their audio work to complete fine art degrees in the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota. The exhibition will feature a visual collection of found objects manipulated and modified by Roske and large paintings created by Pettis. Also on display is a selection of the duo’s bird and cat soft sculpture work.

Exhibition runs March 1-11, 2016. For more info visit:

It's Been a While

It's been a while, but we're still here.

We're both in Art School. Bianca's getting her MFA and Jacob's getting his BA in Art.

We've taken a break from the music - but we played a New Year's Eve Show that got our heads back in the game.

David Bowie passed away - and suddenly we remembered what this was all about for us.

So hello again, after a while. So happy to see you here.

Next Beatrix*JAR Show - January 21st
Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul.
7pm - 9pm

Join us as we celebrate the opening of Material Mythologies!

Music by Beatrix Jar, refreshments provided in part by Revival Wine, Beer, and Spirits.

Material Mythologies brings together textiles, beading, metal, ceramic, and glass by five artists from around the country, all of whom are working at the edge of contemporary craft and sculpture. The exhibition features works by Sonya Clark (Richmond, VA), Mary Giles (Stillwater, MN), Teri Greeves (Santa Fe, NM), Helen Lee (Madison, WI), and Jae Won Lee (East Lansing, MI). Each artist is an innovator in her chosen medium, infusing her work with fascinating personal and cultural narratives.
