Join us on Saturday, June 15th at the Sun Ray Library for the Saint Paul Library Makers Faire! We'll be performing and hosting a hands-on Audio Playground!

Meet local makers in a showcase of Minnesota creativity! Artists, crafters, technologists, and tinkerers will be sharing their creations at this all-ages gathering. Weather permitting, the fair will be outside. Expect hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations, and fun.

Beatrix*JAR will be hosting a Hands-On Audio Playground at the Science Museum of Minnesota's June Social Science Night! Make some sounds with us!

Social Science is an adult night at the Science Museum of Minnesota, welcoming those 21 and over to grab a drink, enjoy the museum, and experience innovative programming. Sound Systems: The Science of Music

Twang, thrum and thump this Social Science as we explore the science behind music. From the biology of your inner ear to the inner workings of an electric guitar, we'll explore sound and music from every acoustic angle. This is your brain on music.

With presentations from Beatrix*JAR, Composer Quest, The Growler Silent Disco, The Touch of Sound, and Trivia Mafia. Food sampling from FruitShare, Joia All Natural Soda, and Mississippi Market Natural Foods Co-op.

Let's Make Some Sounds - Make an Album with Beatrix*JAR at the ICA in Boston

Calling all Sound Artists & Experimental Musicians! Join sound art duo Beatrix*JAR for an intensive four day album creation session. Participants will start by Circuit Bending their own musical instrument; then explore the process of recording, mastering and promotion - culminating in the release of a one of a kind Album and an Album Release Party at ICA.

Tues - Fri, July 16 - 19, 10AM - 5PM
CD Release Party, Friday, July 19, 6-8PM
Open to high school students entering 9th-12th grade.
No equipment necessary. All levels of experience welcome.

The Hamline Midway Heartwood Festival is family-friendly event celebrating of community, sustainability, and art. Kicking off with a Bike Walk Parade, this year's event will feature great entertainment, resource fair, children's activities, and an art & craft fair that festival visitors have enjoyed in years past. Bring your appetites, because local food vendors will be providing delicious food at Newell Park!
